Meet the team
Calvin Bradley, XForces Director
Specialties: Electrician; electrical installations at height
Calvin has in-depth knowledge of Rope Access Operational services and has been in the commercial Rope Access industry in London for the past 15 years, which also included time spent in a training role teaching Working at height and rescue courses.
As an IRATA Level 3 Supervisor, HSE commercial diver and holding the NEBOSH National General Certificate, Calvin has operated in the following sectors;
- Offshore installations
- Wind energy
- Power generation
- Telecoms industry
- Ride and attraction industry
- Commercial and residential sector
As well as consulting and supporting with planning that requires risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), Calvin also develops rescue plans specific for Rope Access Operations throughout the UK in accordance with NEBOSH.
This experience of installation and maintenance tasks is in addition to 13 years of service in the UK Military.During his service Calvin specialised in a number of high risk areas including Working at Height and Rope Access, whilst operating in hostile environments. Rope Access techniques in the military are used to gain access onto offshore and onshore vessels, offshore oil rigs and various onshore structures across the world. Calvin served in the military, firstly in 59 Commando Squadron RE, then followed by service in UK Special Forces.
In his spare time Calvin also competes in rope rescue competitions, such as Grimpday (an international rope rescue competition). This is to ensure that the methods and techniques that the XForces Abseiling team use within the industry are Safe, Effective and Efficient. Calvin was part of the team that came 2nd in Grimpday 2021.
